I don’t know when legacy post creation through the API will go away. It won’t necessarily happen at the same time that we lose the legacy post editor in the UI.

But yeah, given that announcement I figure its days are numbered.

Thanks for reminding me about this. It will cause downtime when it happens, unless I’ve already added NPF creation code by that time. I’ve been avoiding that because it’ll be a complicated chore, and right now it wouldn’t add any value. But I should get around to it sometime.
