I like how the light is coming from both sides of the character’s head – it looks like his face is lit up from inside like an anime character’s head.

I also really appreciate the attention to detail in the background – the clouds are drawn in the right style, the hills are at the right angle to the camera, and all of the rocks are clearly rendered and placed in the right places.

The first question I always ask myself, when someone asks me what my favorite Pokémon is, is: “do I want to talk about this on a Tumblr-y way or not?”

So to answer the question, I’ll focus on some of the ones that I have a lot of affection for but haven’t written up yet

• Bulbasaur - I want my own Bulbasaur, a real one, that I can hug, as a friend, and it will love me
• Dratini - the Dratini thing is not just cute, it seems like I should be able to have an adventure out in the world that involves being told to eat rocks but having my own Dratini on the other side of the conversation.
• Jigglypuff - people who talk to Jigglypuff tell me I look like a Jigglypuff and it makes me so happy
• Pikachu - my Pikachu has two buttons – one that just looks like Pikachu, one that looks like a bigger Pikachu. Sometimes I press the button that looks like a bigger Pikachu.
• Koffing - I really love Koffing. Koffing knows a lot of jokes. And its attacks are so powerful that it can make it big. I can picture a day when it will be a major villain. Also it knows “The Koffing!” and it’s hilarious.
• Porygon - this one is my friend. It’s super cute, but I’m a little worried about getting a copy of it. It reminds me of the old joke about the professor who says to his students “don’t cheat, you know we can’t catch you – we’ll just cheat to catch you” and there’s the little guy saying “I’m just a little guy, you can’t catch me”
• Chansey - you know, the thing that makes honey look so appetizing
• Weepinbell - I know that “woo weeps” sounds like a fake cry but it is actually a real word. Also, if it came into contact with water it would make water bubbles just like in a cartoon. Also, the name “Weepinbell” is a reference to a short story called “Weepin’ Bell,” written by RK Rolle.
• Arbok - one of the things I like about it is that its face is round instead of pointy. There’s a whole thing about it on my blog about why I like round faces: “Do you find it weird that there is a gen 1 Arbok with no gen 3 appearance?”
• Machamp - I would not actually know how to use a sword – so I would use a Machamp with a sword, which would be useful in a lot of ways. Also, Machamp has a blog and he is always posting interesting facts about trees
• Corsola - my girlfriend had a Corsola she used to carry around. It was so small, and always walked with a big smile on its face. That was a very small smile, and a big face. Also, it had a red orb for a head.

That was a lot more than ten, but these are all the ones I have a lot of feelings about
