Redeemed Angry Nerds turned Good Geeks are a disease. They’re still the same passive-aggressive twats banking too hard on the redemption of society through pop culture. It’s one moment of “I was once like you and felt your pain and rage, and hey, you suffer from social anxiety and depressive bouts too, so intersectionality is actually good for you” before it’s back to a regular diet of endless ragging on the folks they supposedly were at one point. Only they never got that redemptive baptism of shaming and worse, they just eased into their new role on their own tempo, and advocate the hardest for others not getting that chance.

I mean, in the grand scheme of things nobody’s responsible for social media mobbings and people shouldn’t talk shit then complain about the vicious PC machine, but the pure swerve in their politics with little change in the Angry Nerd behaviours (pomposity, outcompeting each other to become the king of prog mountain, oh the humanity dramatics) just makes it so unconvincing that they’ve actually learned anything.
