I assumed this was true of everyone, but that doing it in a group is logistically much simpler, can be done at the same time as other partying-related activities, and makes up in quantity what it lacks in quality.

Are  there people for whom this is not true?

Scott, I like you, but damn, this is Exhibit A in the case that you have no idea what normal people (speaking statistically, for example) think about things. 

(I actually thought for a while that this might have been just a really dry joke response, but I don’t think it is.)

Wait, I thought my preference here was pretty typical?  Do I have no idea what normal people think about things?  (I mean, okay, the answer to that is probably “yes,” but … )
